So I was wondering will Eddie play the solos similar to the origional NAN on the forthcoming tour. As far as Time to kill and Rendevouz 602 are concerned I really hope so !!! Also as its an official UK gig we might get Both albums !!!! Is anyone else hoping for anything in particular ?? Whatever happens This is going to be awesome !
PS Gogo please dont ruin this thread with any of your usual spazzy jokes !!!

I suspect they will play everything from Danger Money and Night After Night. I also suspect John will play Book of Saturday. I am hoping for a few things. I hope they play When Will You Realize? and Waiting For You. I hope John and Terry do some sort of improv as they had before. I hope they perform something from Zinc or something else that Eddie will sing. Also, although Terry's current kit is awesome, I would like to see him bring back the roto-tom kit from NAN. Lastly, John playing a strat with the Mutron octave divider.

Eddie's rig the last couple of years is basically two Vax77s (http://www.infiniteresponse.com/) and a MacBook Pro running MainStage (I think) with various VSTs like cs80v (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/cs-80v/intro.html) and Omnisphere (http://www.spectrasonics.net/video/videos.php?InstrumentID=1&VideoTypeID=7/). I'm not sure which plugins he's using for piano and Hammond sounds.

I like the idea of more of those
keyboards on stage
just to look cool.

One can JUST be a piano
and one can JUST be an organ.....

(more stuff to pack around)

And I like the idea that everyone can sing their BG vocals too.

(How is that for demanding !!!!!)

Dicky...sounds great !

Think they should go for Gogo's "All Praise The Mighty Lightbulb" as an intro and Dicky's "Sayonara Roppongi" as an outro.
A trio version of "Radiation" could be fun too.

Heya,

Well if we're gonna dream about big keyboards to carry around...

I vote for two at least. 1) a green plexi Hammond shaped object with two USB controllers mounted in it, and 2) a green plexi CP-70 shaped object with an 88 key USB controller in it. Maybe 3) another green plexi CS-80 shaped object on top of the CP-70 shaped object with a USB controller running CS80v. All of them with lights inside so they glow.

Short of those, non-green clear plexi would suffice.

But consider the ergonomics. I know the huge array is always cool looking, but watch the contortions EJ has to go through on the youtube vid of NAN. Playing the CS-80 blind behind his back while doing the organ solo ? Geesh... just that must have taken weeks of practice.

I would count myself happy to be in the same room with the green plexi violin, as the last time I saw NAN it was the "transparent" one (wire frame) pictured on the back of the album. That... (either) will be fine.

YES !
I am onboard 100% for the lighted-up
green cosmic keyboards !!!!!!!

But we also need lots of buttons that light-up !!!!!
I am right into it !!!!

Lights inside the violins are good too,
but I do not know if this can be rigged-up.
If it can....I want to rip-off the idea....

PS...you know, all those violins sound different hey.....

Oh yes... the buttons should be sequenced, patterns appropriate to tempo and song. Heck, the keys should light up when pressed down.

LED tech is very low current, could totally be done with a small battery pack for the violin.

And yes... unlike electric guitars which have essentially two flavors (single coil or humbucker, and I can say that because "I are one") I dont doubt the green one sounds vastly different than the wire frame one. Its a reason I like my Sojing eViola... once I made the new bridge and the other mods I made, it doesnt sound like any other instrument of its kind. So even though it was 100 bucks off ebay, it is uniquely "mine".

Karl,
Your posts are just GREAT !

hahah for sure the keys should light-up !
Everything should be show-bizz lights !!!!!
I love it !!!!!

The drums should have lights in them as well
and we have Roto Toms....they should all glow.

The bass guy can be the straight-man if he wants
it to be that way.

And it is really fun to hear these violins live....
the clear (you know what that sounds like !!!)
and the dark blue is raunchy and the green is more
mellow.....to put it very simply and generally....

And yes, each instrument is unique, as is each player.
The whole idea is just to capture a mood.
And as a bonus, have a gas doing so !

Sequenced LED fret markers, they already have those anyways. Six per fret, and they can be programmed to show the fingerings for a variety of songs or fretboard patterns.

Wasnt there a Ludwig "vista lite" option that had lights in the shells ? They were plexi. Lit up when you hit them ?

I thought just the blue Par cans under the keyboard riser were Da Bomb... that was so badass.-

Minutes before show time on the 14th I will be wondering which one will be used, if I havent cheated and asked already... and even better... either could occur !

This is what Rock Music is all about !!!!!!
I am a big fan of floor-lighting
but nobody ever uses it.

Yes, LUDWIG "tivoli-lights" were not very powerful.
I love it, of course....

Ok... my (limited) memory of that is still intact. Dont know if I've ever seen them in nature, but that was what I recalled.

Now then, where did I see that clear plexi hammond ?

I took my sister to see prince and that was the exact set up. Can't say I'm a fan but he's very talented !! Isn't it amazing that there's as much if not more interest in what instruments UK will play as there is for the songs !! Now the line ups have been announced I wonder if the 3 piece will stick to UK only songs and the 4 piece might play a similar set to the last tour !!!
