 VOTE FOR THE DRUMMER
Author: gogo

Who will replace Terry Bozzio
for those gigs ?

I vote for Neil Peart from Rush....a fine Canadian band.

I also vote for Eddie and Terry to work together
after this tour, on something new and fun....why not !?!?

There's even a small link to Eddie here. He was in a very short lived band together with Bon Lozaga from Gongzilla and Mark Craney. I believe Gongzilla is working on a new album (finally).

Hi Paul. I was lucky enough to catch Eddie and Mark Craney on the Tull A tour. One of the 2 best concerts of my life. They were both outstanding. Craney was playing different licks through every bar of the songs, because he knew them well and that was allowed by Anderson. It was amazing and Eddie was at the top of his form as well. Check out some of the videos on youtube from that tour. Jim Blair's friend ;-)

Or buy the special edition from Tull's "A", which comes with the concert-DVD Slipstream.

As for the drummer: I would go for Gavin Harrison, while I wonder how Chad Wackerman would sound in this setting. After all he also played with Frank.

No reason wht the drummer can
not be someone new....

I like a famous guy to bring
in his fans as well, of course.

Is Bill Bruford still busy at the golf course ?

BB announced he has retired from "public performance"--maybe he has since elaborated on that or amended it, but that was the phrase.

Yes some drummers retire.
But like all good hockey players
they come out for the all-starr games.

You guys named a bunch of really good drummers here. Yeah, I can see Neal Pert. My vote goes to Glenn Leaonard, though Marco would also be great!

Yeah, fine drummer. His solo-album Reaching Beyond (produced by Kit Watkins) from 1992 is also worth checking out. But personally I like Ron Riddle even better. When I heard Happy The Man's Crafty Hands when it was released in 1978 his style remembered me of Bill Bruford in a way.

Hey Chip,
I do not know Kit Kat, cOcO.

And I dispair people

after popular snacks.
